Triveni Sangam Ghat

Lete Hanuman Ji Mandir

It is distinctive because it houses a colossal idol of Lord Hanuman in a reclining position, half-submerged in the waters of the Ganges (during monsoon) . This representation is unparalleled, making it the only temple globally where Lord Hanuman is depicted in such a manner. It is south facing, 20 ft long & 6 feet below the surface. It is believed that Kamada Devi is buried under his left leg and Ahiravan under his right leg. In his right hand are the images of Rama and Lakshmana, and in his left
the image of Garuda.

Akshay Vat

As per Padma Purana, one who venerates Akshay vat with devotion is freed from sins. As per legend, sage Markandeya asked Narayana to show him a taste of his divine power. Narayana caused a Pralaya flooding the entire world for a moment, during which only the Akshaya vat could be seen above the water level.

Shaktipeeth Alopi Devi Mandir

One of the Shaktipeeth temple. As per legend, the fingers of Sati Devi’s body fell at this very location, where she vanished from the earthly realm, hence the name Alopi, Shankari Temple meaning disappeared. It is also believed this sacred spot marks where Devi Sati’s fingers touched the ground from the sky. Site is believed to possess the power to
absolve sins & grant wishes.

Dedicated to Lord Vasuki, King of Snakes, believed to relieve Kaal Sarpa Dosh astrological difficulties, origins back to Lord Vasuki resting here after churning the ocean in Vedic times.

Bhardwaj Muni Ashram

It is historically significant due to its association with the epic Ramayana. Lord Rama,Sita, and Lakshmana visited this ashram during their exile, and it was the first stop for them after crossing the Ganges. The ashram was established by Rishi Bharadwaj, one of the Sapta Rishis of Kal Yuga,. providing it with a serene, tranquil backdrop & the environment has been as reminiscent of a heavenly garden, abundant with aromatic flowers, luscious fruits, diverse trees, melodious birds, and gentle animals. Central to the ashram is the Bhardwaj Eshwar Linga, a sacred Shiva Linga consecrated by Rishi Bharadwaj himself.

Manka Meshwar Mahadev Temple

It is believed to relieve people of their debts as well as sins. Having been installed by Lord Ram, it has immense religious sanctity.

Veni Madhav Temple

In the mystical era of Treta Yug, a fearsome demon named Gajkarna wreaked havoc across the three worlds. His reign of terror was so profound that the inhabitants sought divine intervention. Lord Vishnu, in his infinite compassion, sent Narada Muni to find a solution. Gajkarna, upon Narada Muni’s advice, took a purifying bath in the Triveni Sangam, which miraculously cured his ailments. But the demon’s greed knew no bounds. He drank the waters of the three sacred rivers, causing a catastrophic drought. Hearing the pleas of the distressed inhabitants, Lord Vishnu descended to Prayagraj. After a fierce battle spanning three days, Lord Vishnu defeated Gajkarna, restoring the sacred waters to their rightful place. Recognizing the importance of safeguarding the Triveni Sangam, Lord Vishnu chose to reside in Prayagraj in the form of Veni Madhav, ensuring its protection for eternity.

Kalyani Dev Temple

One of 51 Shaktipeeth temples, it is dedicated to Goddess Kalyani, an incarnation of Goddess Durga, it is believed that when Lord Shiva carried the corpse of Devi SATI, three fingers of Goddess Sati fell here at the place where the temple stands now. located near the Yamuna River’s banks, a prime location in the heart of Prayagraj city. The temple displays the Classic North Indian style of temple architecture. The main centre of the temple has the Garbha Griha or the Sanctum Sanctorum, the idol of the temple’s main deity, Kalyani Devi. The Garbha Griha is surrounded by pillared halls kr Mandapa.

Gurdwara Shri Pakki Sangat Sahib

It marks the place where Shri Guru Teg Bahadur Sahib Ji stayed. Mata Gujari Ji, Mata Nanaki Ji, Mama Kirpal Das Ji and other followers. During those periods, the Triveni Sangam was located nearby. Local Sangat requested GURU SAHIB to stay for some more time. Guru Sahib accepted their request and stayed here for almost six months. Mata Nanaki Ji (Wife of Shri Guru Hargobind Sahib Ji and Mother of Shri Guru Tegbhadur Sahib asked Guru Sahib that Her Husband and Guru Sahib’s father had blessed her with Valiant warrior grandson. Guru Sahib told her that time was near to her desired wish. Guru Sahib asked everyone to take a dip in the Ganga River, But Mata Nanaki Ji of Old age, Guru Sahib arranged the Ganga in the well situated in the compound. The continuous reading(Akhand Path Sahib) of Shri Guru Granth Sahib was first started here by five Sikhs Bhai Mati Das Ji, Bhai Sati Das Ji, Bhai Dyala Ji, Bhai Gurbaksha and Baba Gurudita Ji. And here only Shri Guru Gobind Singh JI was conceived by Mata Gujari Ji. Later Shri Guru Gobind Singh Ji on the way back to Punjab from Patna Sahib stayed here for 5 days.
